| RX8 owners: Are you aware that all three of the radiators behind your front bumper are totally unprotected, and that every time you go out in your RX8, a stone thrown up by the car in front could fly straight through one of these expensive radiators and cost you hundreds of pounds? And stones and road debris not large enough to penetrate, flatten or clog the delicate fins and reduce their cooling efficiency. The solution is simple. Fit a set of Lockwood grilles, one for your air-con in the centre, and one for each of your oil coolers (just below the headlights). These are made from the same top quality stainless steel mesh, 316 grade, but this set has been powder coated, for those who prefer them black. (That is why they cost an extra £10) The mesh allows ample air-flow to dissipate the heat from all three radiators to not only maintain the correct oil temperature for the RX8 engine, but also ensure that you and your passenger gets the most benefit from your air-con. Fitting. We are often asked how long it takes to fit these grilles. Well, to fit the three essential grilles in your front bumper, the ones that protect your oil coolers and air-con-radiator, you have to take the front bumper off, there's no alternative, but it isn't as big a job as it sounds. It may take a few hours to fit the full set but its worth it. By 'the full set' we mean: The three lower grilles, the one upper, the two side vents and the two rear grilles. Don't worry, we supply clear, step by step instructions, and photographs that guide you every step of the way. Hundreds of others have already done it. Part No. 9026B |
